We were fascinated – a hockey player that’s 6-foot-3 and weighs close to 270 pounds? So when 8th-round draft pick Dustin Byfuglien played in Portland, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to write an article for the Chicago Blackhawks on their 18-year-old prospect. This story appeared on the front page of the NHL team’s website. We also shot all the pictures for the photo gallery. An imposing physical presence on the ice, Byfuglien made the NHL toward the end of the 2005-06 season and became a regular in 2007-08, scoring 19 goals and 36 points in 67 games, and is blessed with a very bright future.
