Zookeeper Launches New Brand Identity For April Tomi Hair

We’ve just launched the new brand identity for April Tomi Hair, a cutting-edge stylist located on Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills. April was seeking to reinvigorate her brand in a hyper-competitive, fickle marketplace. We created the new logo for her business from scratch, turning the A in her name into a blow dryer and crafting the other letters in a script type to serve as a cord and plug. The letters were completely hand-drawn and not based on any existing type to reflect the originality she uses to create every one of her hair stylings.

You Don’t Mess With The Zohan Premiere

Wednesday night I attended the You Don’t Mess With The Zohan premiere down the street at Mann’s Theater on Hollywood Boulevard through the Starz Channel. It was a super fun time, standing just off the red carpet and watching the stars come in. As for the movie, Adam Sandler stars as the ultimate Israeli anti-terrorist who’s big dream is to move to NYC to become a hair stylist. The film is hysterical in parts – Sandler and Company have the comedy formula down pat at this point – but there’s some odd moments, a somewhat-forced ending and what I would guess to be too many writers involved with the script. Today is Thursday. That’s right, Friday’s Friday. To celebrate such a wonderful day, we’re adding a new Sketch Of The Week for you to obsess over until next Thursday. This one is titled “Gray Man.” Why? Because names are hard for me. Unless you’re Johnson. He named everything.
