The new mustached unicorn mascot we created for The Den of Hollywood needed a place to live. Zookeeper imagined a website that would serve as a social media platform for the cozy and comfortable bar and restaurant situated directly across from the legendary Chateau Marmont on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.
Reflecting the dark stone and wood textures of the interior, the site showcases the brand with a photo slider, a rotating chalkboard menu that comes up on that day's special and all the information that customers need to find and interact with the establishment.
“Thanks for the awesome work.”

In late 2010, we relaunched the website for Iwata-Medea, the world’s leading airbrush product manufacturer. Built using XHTML and designed with CSS, we created, designed and developed the site, which is powered by a dynamic content management system that serves up pages faster than ever. More new content, jQuery functionality and fresh graphics greet visitors on the front page.
Iwata-Medea first approached us in 2003 to completely redo their self-described “funhouse of chaos.” The site was built to revolutionize the information available on the web about airbrushes and techniques through its quality, presentation and organization. Designed to be the ultimate destination for all airbrush users, Zookeeper built a site intended to be the ultimate airbrushing destination on the web.
Today the site, with substantial monthly updates, totals nearly 1,000 pages and forms “the backbone of how we communicate with our customers now and in the future.”
“Zookeeper has been an outstanding creative services provider to our company for many years. Owner Dave Waite’s professional and personal approach to us as a client is one that we genuinely appreciate. He contributes to our creative process with insight and candidness to help us better craft our creative vision. It doesn’t matter the size of the project whether it’s an entirely new website, a catalog rewrite or a simple edit of PR copy, Dave and Zookeeper meet all of our creative project needs with responsiveness and attention to detail.”

Nutritionist Margret Floyd of Eat Naked enlisted our design services to revamp her website before her first book was published in June 2011. Focusing on encouraging people to eat unprocessed, wholesome food, Margaret sought a dynamic platform for her popular blog and social media outlets.
Clean and sophisticated, this WordPress-powered site sports a fresh, energetic look, telling Eat Naked's story through vibrant color and texture. The launchpad for her brand serves as an information gateway for readers and potential clients to delve deep into her philosophies and principles on healthy eating.
“As always, Zookeeper pulled out all the stops and made magic happen for my new website. They created a new, fresh, revitalized feel while preserving the integrity of my brand and logo. The process was seamless and remarkably trouble-free for a website overhaul. I’m very impressed. Thank you for the great work!”

Zookeeper created this new website in late 2010 for Comme Ça, the popular and well-reviewed French patisserie-style restaurant by renowned chef David Myers. Located on trendy Melrose Avenue close to Beverly Hills, the high-end restaurant needed a new, updated site.
We designed it in a clean, sophisticated style to reflect the existing brand while working with existing elements of the restaurant, like the navigation to reflect the mirrored counters at the bar and the background composed of the chalkboard. Zookeeper also directed the photo shoot for most of the new photos pictured on the site.
“Thanks Dave! Great work and enjoyed.”

Designed with vivid photography and a simple sophistication, the website for Pizzeria Ortica images the Italian, family style restaurant as an inviting and stylish dining destination in posh Costa Mesa, California.
“Looks great, Dave!”

From acquiring the domain name to launching the site, Zookeeper did it all for Douglas Raub Design + Development, a high-end custom homebuilder in Southern California. After creating their new brand identity and logo, we assembled all the content, including writing the copy, optimizing the site for search engines and directing the photo shoot. We plugged it all into a design that was created to be simple, elegant and exceptionally user-friendly. The site features a Flash portfolio movie and dozens of crisp, breathtaking photos of the firm’s work, imaging the company in the best possible light and positioning them to grow rapidly in the future.
“Dave Waite at Zookeeper designed, built and launched my website in October 2008. I could not be more thrilled with the way it turned out. Dave is a true pro who delivers what he says he is going to do, and does it effortlessly and on time. I have also recieved rave reviews on my logo and brand idenity that Dave designed. It will truely take me to the next level of business for where we want to go. Dave, I could not be more happier and it was a pleasure to do business with you. I can’t wait to do it again!!!”
